Accompanied by a mediator, discover its history, heritage, architecture and backstage. You will walk in spaces usually closed to the public and learn more about the professions of the Opera.

Heritage Concert

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, your orchestra invites you to a musical journey where tradition meets creation. Conducting, Eduardo Strausser, Brazilian conductor and music director of the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra in Sweden. He has already collaborated with prestigious ensembles, including the Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie. The concert opens with Lumina by Nina Shekhar, an American composer born in 1995. This work explores the contrasts between clarity and darkness, bright tones and opaque textures, in a true tribute to light. The young South Korean prodigy Sarang Seohyun Kim, the youngest laureate of the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition at the age of 14, then performs Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3, a luminous work with radiant classicism. Finally, Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 7, composed in 1952, offers a farewell filled with sweet melancholy, in which the Russian composer revisits classical forms with tenderness. From Mozart to the present day, this programme celebrates musical heritage in all its diversity. A meeting with the artists is proposed before the concert.
