Go back in time by visiting the old convent of the 17th century, today seat of the departmental council, and discover through stories and anecdotes, the daily life of the visitandines, first occupiers of these places.In addition, through historical sources and illustrations of projects, the exhibition "Architecture and Sport" gives to discover the great architectural trends that have followed, from the early twentieth century to the present day, in terms of sports equipment. It allows identifying the national issues that opened and put an end to these major trends and to make a comparison with the equipment built in Loir-et-Cher over the same period, by approaching the historical context from a more local angle. This exhibition is intended to be interactive. To do so, after the animation of the exhibition by a. e architect, visitors will be able to locate undated equipment in the right periods, thanks to the clues slipped into the exhibition panels and in the oral comments.In partnership with the CAUE 41.E-mailangelique.goblet@caue41.fr

The hotel of the department goes back in time by revealing its history!Part of the services of the departmental council of Loir-et-Cher is located in the former 17th century convent belonging to the order of the Visitation Sainte-Marie until 1791.This tour of the historic buildings (cloister and its garden, chapter house, and the old church rehabilitated into a room for deliberations) will be an opportunity to hear the story and anecdotes of the daily life of the first occupants of these places: the Visitandines.

Commented exhibition "architecture and sport" & guided tour of the old convent for schoolchildren
On Friday, September 19, 2025, on the eve of the European Heritage Days, the hotel in the department of Loir-et-Cher opens its doors to the school public. As part of the operation "Lever les yeux", enjoy the animation of the exhibition "Architecture and Sport" created on the occasion of the Olympic Games and a guided tour of the department hotel (former convent of the seventeenth century).Three formulas proposed to meet the desires of teachers:
