Restorer specializing in gilded and polychrome woods, Julien Girgenti works on old frames, sculptures, and altarpieces, for individuals as well as historical monuments.
Gilder with an ornamental and visual training, he leads each project from the study and diagnosis to the preservation treatment and the resumption of gilding.
His practice combines traditional techniques and ethical requirements of conservation-restoration, in the service of transmitting works to future generations.

    The Regional Cultural Affairs Directorate is installed(settled) in private residences built on the location of the residence of the bishops of Maguelone. The latter(This last) was completely destroyed during the wars of religion. The pit(core) of buildings(ships) is a small mansion built by 1636: the hotel of Grave, one of the models of the evolution of the urban house in the XVIIth century in Languedoc. There remains(subsists) the entrance(entry) of the facade of origin there (resumed(taken back) in the XIXth century) in the maniériste tasteful "frontispiece ", vaults on the ground floor, some elements of the big(great) staircase and of the landing carried on a veined structure of Gothic speed(look).
