The association Acanthe, from the master’s program in Heritage Promotion and Mediation of the University Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3, invites the public to discover the heritage of the archaeological site of Lattara, at the Henri-Prades museum, as part of the 43rd edition of the European Heritage Days.
The workshop to raise awareness of the challenges of restoration in archaeology invites the public to understand the importance of restoration in the preservation and enhancement of archaeological collections.
Thought for all ages, the activity offers two complementary spaces: a playful part for children, with workshops of fresco reconstruction and ceramic reassembly, and a part intended for adults, in the form of interactive quiz.
Through these devices, participants will explore restoration techniques, specificities related to materials and ethical choices that guide the conservation of remains.
An opportunity to better understand how archaeological heritage is studied, restored and transmitted.

The association Acanthe, from the master’s program in Heritage Promotion and Mediation of the University Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3, invites the public to discover the heritage of the archaeological site of Lattara, at the Henri-Prades museum, as part of the 43rd edition of the European Heritage Days.Inspired by the soil decor in tellines discovered at Lattara, representing a moving equine, the workshop "Tellines and toddlers" invites children from 2 to 5 years old to let their creativity speak.The children will be able to choose an image of equine, fish or bird, in connection with the decorations discovered at Lattes.
