Immerse yourself in the archives of the Regional Chamber of Accounts Occitanie and discover the heart of its activity in a fun way.
This financial intrigue will plunge you into the daily life of control teams, from taking the oath to deliberation, through archives, community offices and, of course, that of the magistrate.
For 1 hour, in a team of up to 12 participants, you will have to solve numerous puzzles, find the keys, reconstitute an account and management control file, then confront the managers.
You are almost invested with the powers of magistrate!
Note: a game booklet for children will also allow them to participate.

At the invitation of the Regional Chamber of Accounts Occitanie, Mrs. Évelyne Samy will give a lecture on the history of the Court of Auditors, aid and finance.An invitation to discover this institution, to meet the "people of the accounts" and, beyond that, to better understand Montpellier society, from 1629 until the French Revolution.This little-known history will be brought to light thanks to the work of Mrs. Samy, carried out within the framework of the association Mémoire d'Oc, which has set itself the mission of discovering and transmitting the history of the heritage of the Languedoc, within the University of the Third Time of Montpellier.Historical rigor, exciting anecdotes and discovery of a world almost forgotten, but which played a major role in the past of Montpellier.

Exhibition: from the 16th to the 21st century, the faces of a financial jurisdiction
Discover the faces of magistrates from Montpellier through the centuries, in an exhibition that holds up a mirror to them.In the 17th and 18th centuries, these men posed for rich portraits, between ermine and wigs. Facing them and their history are the faces of the staff of the Regional Chamber of Accounts Occitanie in 2026: women and men, magistrates, auditors, clerks and support professions.From the Ancien Régime to the Fifth Republic, the contrasts are striking.

Throughout the day, the staff of the Regional Chamber of Accounts Occitanie will introduce you to two essential moments in their work: the taking of oaths and deliberation, during which the magistrates discuss collegially reports that are still confidential.You will be able to attend swearing-in ceremonies and mock deliberations, meet directly with the control teams and rediscover the missions of an independent financial jurisdiction.Videos will also be proposed: educational film on the missions of the Court of Auditors and the CRC Occitanie, as well as short videos presenting recent reports and their issues in terms of use of public money.You can also participate in a workshop-game around the bundles, offered all day, and attend a historical conference at 2 p.m.Finally, you will discover the recent research of a history student in the archives of the CRC, around the theme: "Epidemics, wars, economic crises: how did the Court of Auditors, aid and finances of Languedoc manage crisis situations in modern times?"
