The IGN site of Villefranche-sur-Cher is a historical site initially dedicated to the logistics of field activities for the geographical referencing of territories. Over the evolution of techniques, needs, it has undergone transformations to host today the national photo library of aerial photographs, the cartotheques of IGN, production and finishing of paper maps, reliefs, posters. Installed on a part of the former "camp of the Americans", the guided tour will offer an exhibition tracing the life of a map, extracts from historical cartographic and photographic collections. The evolution of the printing techniques of a card will be enhanced by demonstration of engraving (XIXth century) at the digital table (XXIst century)
