How to protect works, monuments and collections when a major disaster or conflict occurs?
Come and discover the missions and actions of the Blue Shield France, an association specialized in the protection and safeguarding of heritage in times of crisis. French relay of the Blue Shield International, the association, created in 2001, is recognized of general interest and approved for civil security.
The stand will be run by Claudine Jacquet, CAOA de l'Hérault; Anne-Sophie Gagnal, head of the written and graphic heritage conservation-restoration workshop at the Montpellier interuniversity documentary cooperation service; and Marie-Angeline Pinail, curator of the university collections in charge of preventive conservation at the University of Montpellier and co-delegate of the Occitanie section of the Blue Shield France.

    The Regional Cultural Affairs Directorate is installed(settled) in private residences built on the location of the residence of the bishops of Maguelone. The latter(This last) was completely destroyed during the wars of religion. The pit(core) of buildings(ships) is a small mansion built by 1636: the hotel of Grave, one of the models of the evolution of the urban house in the XVIIth century in Languedoc. There remains(subsists) the entrance(entry) of the facade of origin there (resumed(taken back) in the XIXth century) in the maniériste tasteful "frontispiece ", vaults on the ground floor, some elements of the big(great) staircase and of the landing carried on a veined structure of Gothic speed(look).
