From the first processes of the 19th century to contemporary uses, explore photography as a tool for memory, documentation and creation, through public archives, private albums and the views of photographers.

Projection: The history of photography

Attend the projection of the video made by the archivists in charge of the iconographic funds of the Departmental Archives. This unpublished film traces the history of photography and the evolution of its technical processes through the documents preserved in the collections.At the end of the screening, meet the project’s archivist for a privileged discussion about this project and discover behind the scenes of the enhancement of this exceptional photographic heritage.

Cyanotype workshop

Discover the cyanotype, an ancient photographic process recognizable by its famous blue hues. During this workshop, participants will experiment with this technique by making their own prints from archival images. Thanks to exposure to light and then revelation in water, the photographs will gradually take shape. Everyone will leave with their own creations.
