Completed in 1867, the church, in the Gothic Revival style, was built on the plans of architect Jean Cassan. It is dedicated to Saint Roch, patron saint of pilgrims from all over the world. The church houses a statue of the saint under the features, it is said, of the painter Frédéric Bazille, as well as relics of the saint in the chapel. The sanctuary is one of the stops on the way to Santiago de Compostela by the Via Tolosana.
